About Chanee's Candles and Cookies
Our Story
Chanee is a stay at home mother who developed a love for baking while having to take care of her son who was diagnosed with Autism in 2021. Chanee's Candles and Cookies originally started in 2021, but was established in 2024 by Chanee who shared her love for baking cookies and making candles with family and friends. Chanee started out by attending family events and baking homemade cookies to bring every time she was invited. Family and friends would often think the cookies came from the store, but later learned that Chanee baked them homemade. Family and friends then began to inquire about purchasing them, so she developed a system to sell to family and friends. Chanee was invited to her first pop up in 2022 at an event on a ranch in which she then decided to start a business. She also has a love for aromatherapy candles and learned that aromatherapy candles helped with calming both her and her son, but had a hard time finding candles that not only smelled good, but also burned evenly. So she decided to take an online course to learn how to make her own candles. She then started to sell her candles to family and friends. In 2023, Chanee joined a group of people doing pop-ups in the Greenhaven community located in Sacramento, CA who she later learned that she was related to. Since then, Chanee has been a part of serving the community by sharing her love for cookies and candles.
